Kambda is seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers to join our team and work on an exciting project for one of our valued clients in the United States. You will be embedded within their organization, taking full ownership of critical components of their platform—not just executing tickets, but making the foundational architecture decisions for a system that handles millions of users. This is a client-facing delivery role where your expertise will directly dictate the success of their product.
Kambda is located in Costa Rica, and we are primarily seeking candidates in a similar time zone to facilitate collaboration. This is a non-negotiable requirement.
Required Qualifications
- PostgreSQL: Deep understanding of transactions, locking mechanisms, constraint design, and query performance under extreme load.
- Redis: Production experience using Redis for caching, pub/sub, and distributed locking.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node or Python, paired with a modern React frontend.
- Production experience with WebSockets and maintaining state consistency across many clients.
- Experience integrating a payment provider (Stripe or similar), including handling webhooks.
- You have shipped an LLM-backed feature to external users (not just internal demos or proof-of-concepts).
Preferred Skills
- Familiar with using LLMs to help code.
- High level of thinking / structuring / problem-solving.
- Maintain a minimum 4-hour daily overlap with US Eastern Time for syncs, reviews, and incident response.
- Clearly articulate technical strategies and trade-offs in English
